The dreamsoarer is a self launching SSDR soaring aircraft previewed at the 2013 NEC Flying Show and privately revealed at Duxford in December. This aircraft incorporates several groundbreaking design features to create flying performance not seen before in general aviation aircraft.

The dreamsoarer has a logical modular family of planned derivatives, including the dreamtourR, an aerobatic sports tourer and even eventually leading to four-seater variants.

The dreamsoarer glides down, eliminating fuel usage for often half the journey. This gliding has a major safety benefit, whereby any propulsive failure does not affect landing capability, on land or water. In addition the soaring ability allows thermalling in favourable conditions, thereby eliminating or reducing fuel usage during climbing.

Low drag wings and polymorphing wing architecture gives exceptional;

general flight dynamics, soaring, excellent glide ratio, xSTOL, fast cruise and slow stall.

Ownership costs shrink using an optimised Superfroude powertrain and an easily trailered and garage-able airframe, opening regular flying to wider worldwide participation.

Through manufacturing simplification there should be a very competitive ticket price.

Thanks to a land-virtually-anywhere capability and long range, the dreamsoarer aims to change how we think about personal transportation for many journeys. The effects will be to improve transport in rural and isolated communities and reduce journey costs and carbon impact.

The dreamsoarer family aims to become the benchmark utility GA aircraft for 1-4 people.
